Chardonnay Harvest 2023

Join us for fun, family-friendly day in the vineyard and help us harvest our 2023 chardonnay!

If you join us, your volunteering will be rewarded by food, good company, and a bottle of wine (your choice).  You'll also learn a lot about the early processes in winemaking (crushing, destemming, pressing, etc).

What will the harvest day look like?

1. We’ll start early in the morning (that’s the best time to harvest!). If you are able, try to show up by 7 am! If you can’t come till later, no problem, but we're expecting to pick it quickly!
2. We will have most people picking grapes, and a few people dealing with transport and processing. You’ll probably get a chance to do it all if you want.
3. We’ll have some breakfast burritos, and other food yummies throughout the day, as well as plenty of drinks ;)
4. You are, of course, welcome to bring your own food if you’re more comfortable with that.
5. We will finish by noon to beat the heat (and the yellow jackets)

What should I bring?

1. Clippers/pruners if you have them, (we’ll have extra sets around)
2. Work gloves (again, we’ll have extras around)
3. Water bottle
4. Comfortable, supportive shoes

• If you are not feeling well, we ask that you stay home and harvest with us another time. Take care of yourself!
